New Day, New Blog

What do you think?? I felt like the old look was too dreary given the beautiful weather we've been having and whatnot. I'm gonna test out this new look for a little while.

I have the day off today and Chris has to work (that's a first). I was looking forward to getting caught up on life but my poor Beaner isn't feeling well :( We think it's teething...sure is rough though! Daycare called Chris yesterday afternoon to say she had a fever (101.7) but that her spirits were high so not to worry. When we got her home she was on fire and starving (they won't feed them if they have a fever). We fed her and medicated her and she passed out and actually slept all night. I still set the alarm every 2 hours to check on her (it's a Mom thing I suppose) so I'm mighty tired today. It's been a very rough day for her - lots of whimpering and big red fever lips. She doesn't want any real food, just bottles. She's drooling so much that I've actually had to change her shirt 3 times and now I'm keeping a bib on her when she's awake! That's why we think it's teething. She's finally taking a nap and I have a pile of laundry to fold, a pile of shirts to iron and a ton of vaccuming to do. So, naturally, I'm hiding in the blog world.

I have to get back to reality now though - wanna get the downstairs vacummed b/f she wakes up so she can crawl around again without finding "debris" to put in her mouth. The house is really coming along! I'm super excited about that. Chris found an awesome painter (through my co-worker) and he had the entire downstairs finished yesterday and he did an extraordinary job! I can't wait to swing by today to see what he's done. We got the quote from the floor-guy so we'll start on that soon as well. Guess we can start slowly moving stuff in now, YAY!
