The little things...

I feel like it's all the little things that Ava does that amaze me the most. For instance, walking is a HUGE milestone...yet I'm more impressed by the mischievous behavior starting to trickle from her personality. Last night I was outside playing fetch with Aspen and Ava and Chris were watching through the window from inside. Ava spotted the bookshelf in the sun room with all my Mom's steif's and they majorly peaked her interest. Mind you, she knows that they're off limits. So she ever so discreetly slithered closer to the that corner of the room. She was focusing so hard on not being "found out" that she didn't even realize 2 sets of eyes were on her (Mommy & Daddy). Once in arms length, she looked all around with that "I'm-up-to-something" expression on her face and reached out her pudgy little arm ever so slowly to see if anyone would stop her. We stood there in awe at how hard she was working on not getting caught and just how tempted she was...On her own, she decided it wasn't worth the risk and quickly slithered away. Phew! I don't imagine that'll be the case next time...
