So Ava likes to spend her time coloring these days. She’s still big into her “movies” too (Baby Einstein and Baby Genius). She prefers to feed herself, heaven forbid you hold the spoon for her. Yet again, we were “those parents” after we left a spaghetti M-E-S-S under her high-chair at Carrabbas. She sings also and it’s so cute. Her toy basket consists of books, a label maker and a calculator. She’s mostly her father, heh. She learned how to accurately communicate “no” recently with a head-shake so that’s proving to be an adventure as she does not like to have to tell you “no” more than once.
Below are some pics. A belated 4th of July pic – Ava in her patriotic outfit courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Yoda. Also, we stopped by the Colonial Parkway this weekend so Aspen could get her swim on and Ava LOVED the water and sand. She thought it was extremely comical that Aspen was in the water. Chris had to grab Ava on several occasions as she charged full-steam into the water – no fear! She got some good use out of her Spiderman shoes, as you’ll see. Let’s see, what else did the Fescoe clan do this weekend? We went to Barnes & Noble so Ava could pick out some new books. It was like paradise for her, she ran around and read every book she could get her soft and pudgy hands on. We came home with some good books and I’m certain we’ve read each one 5 times already. Chris wrapped up the weekend by washing his car. Really, you have no idea how happy this made him. He’s still talking about it. It didn’t take long before helpful Ava found the bucket of “duddles” (translation: bubbles) and proceeded to misconstrue their purpose…Did I mention that she takes after her father??
Ah, yes, and a self-portrait of yours truly.
Exciting news! I ordered a flash for my camera and it should be here this week! I cannot wait to try it out. It should open many new windows and doors for me to explore in the land of photography that I enjoy visiting so much. I am the master when it comes to run-on sentences! Yes! What's more, our spiffy new entertainment center/TV console thing is due to arrive on Wednesday. In other news, it’s stupid hot and humid now. Honey & Papa Bear are off to Alaska – if you believe in the power of prayer, then you should probably pray for them - and the others on the ship with them…
Work is work. I think about photography often and have major guilt for neglecting my hobby so. Chris would probably say the same about his work, although he probably suffers from car neglect guilt.
Um, guess that’s all. Remember to recycle! Smoochies, ya’ll!

This is Ava's father. I have to correct my wife's comment. The "calculator" in Ava's toy basket is actually an electronic dictionary. However, it does have "calculator" capabilities. My daughter is one smart cookie... she even prefers the multi-function devices :)
So Ava looks very adorable, as usual, but what is with the UGLY shoes?
And Chris you are a nerd for leaving that comment and for giving your daughter an electronic dictionary.
But anyhoo I'm very excited to see you guys next weekend :)
Hi Fescoe family! Michelle, I'm enjoying your site as I'm bored at work! :) Rachel sent me the link once and I've saved it so I can see all of your pictures(and I love your stories). Ava's adorable as usual! I can't believe Carter is already 10 months! Hope to see you all soon!
