15 Months

Ava had her 15 month check-up today. She’s well! She weighs 23 lbs 12 oz (60th %), she’s 30 ¾ inches long (45th%) and her head is 18.5 inches (75th %). So yeah, she’s chubby, short and she has a big head…that’s our girl! She doesn’t like the nurse. She doesn’t like shots. She likes the sticker she got after her shots. Developmentally, she’s on target. The kid is smart; she knows most of her body parts and will gladly point them out when asked. My favorite is to ask her where her eyes are – she blinks…a lot. When you ask her where her teeth are she shudders them.

Her Daily Report at daycare listed the following as a Developmental Milestone: “Ava will go up to the other children and say ‘tickle tickle.’” Poor children.

We brought her to the neighborhood park (really just a swing set, some benches and a slide) and she didn’t like to swing by herself, she preferred to be sitting in our laps on the swing. I think it relaxes her to the point of falling asleep which is scary in a different place. She was a big fan of the slide though (so was Mommy)!

Ava and Samantha got together with their old lady selves this weekend – below are some adorable pics. Samantha was being a ham!
